Costa Rica was my first country out of the United States.
Not only did I experience my first country, but my tour guide was my loving boyfriend.
Those two weeks were perfect. Nothing has ever topped it.
I was so excited, I even dressed in a classic outfit for the 4 hour plane ride. My tan floppy hat was my favorite accessory over the duration of the trip.
Now let me explain the various excursions I was able to experience while I was here.

I'm going to brag on my boyfriend/best friend because he took this awesome photo.
I tried to turn him into a "tumblr boy" and I think I succeeded.
Also to note, these pictures don't even have filters! That's just how beautiful Costa Rica actually is!
Now moving onto the first adventure I got to go on; horseback riding and ziplining! Both of which I've never done before, so keep that in mind.
During the horseback riding, my horse went psychotic and decided to take me through a bundle of branches. In the middle of the horseback trail, we stopped and took a slide down a natural waterfall slide!

After a dip in a relaxing natural spring, the tour guide led us to the top of the mountain for some ziplining. My first line down was amazing! The rush was invigorating and kept my blood pumping.
We finally made our way down the mountain and the excursion was over. But not to fear! Later that day was full of relaxation with a natural hot spring and mud bath.

We spent 2 days at The Borican and made our way to The Westin, which was an all inclusive 5 star resort. So for anyone interested in taking a trip to Costa Rica, I suggest going to one of these two places.

The first day was full of beach and swimming, with a bit of shopping. However, the excursion we went on next was probably one of my favorites.
We kayaked out into the ocean towards some large rocks that were not too far out, but far enough to snorkel.
YUP! I went snorkeling, which was my first time.
Now, I don't like going passed my shins when I'm in the ocean, seeing as how I don't want to be a tasty morsel for a hungry shark. But I conquered my fear and dove into the water.
We saw amazing fish, octopus, puffer fish, and just beautiful scenery.
However, one of the craziest moments in Costa Rica was when I got stung by a baby jellyfish!

For anyone that has never been out of the country and is looking for a great place to go, I highly suggest Costa Rica!
Thanks for stopping by today, Shell gals!
Today's quote of the day is:
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched- they must be felt with the heart" - Helen Keller
